We assist Indie Artists with the possibility to book for them a tour in Asia and Australia. How does it work? 1-Email us with a link to your music and let us know what you're after (number of dates, where, availabilities, expectations) 2-We contact you back if we are interested in working with you. 3-We draw a contract with your band according to what you want and what it's possible. 4-As a security, we request $100 deposit for each date we are booking for you. 5-Once you are on tour, we refund this deposit show after show. For example: Your tour features 5 shows in Australia. Your deposit will be a total of $500 (paid upfront) For each show you're playing, you are getting your deposit back. For each show you are cancelling**, you are losing your deposit. **If the show is cancelled for a reason such as accidents or forces of nature, you are not losing your deposit. If the cancellation comes from the promoter, for a reason not related to the artist, you aren't losing your deposit either. Some other examples: The show is cancelled because you are late (You've lost your way), your deposit is lost. If the show is cancelled for bad behavior related to the artist, your deposit is lost. 6-When getting paid by the venue/ local promoter, you pay us 10%. For example: You get paid $200 for one show, you owe us $20 only. We might keep your deposit until the end of your tour and deduct from it the monies owed by the band to YES (10% of the performance fees). The deposit must be paid once the dates can be confirmed. We accept PayPal as well as telegraphic transfer. We're asking for a deposit to avoid time wasters. Artists should be 100% sure to participate to such a tour before asking us to start booking for them. Artists must make sure to understand that they would have to afford airfare and other costs related to the tour (accommodation, catering...) No refund is possible if the artist decides to cancel because he changes his mind or can't afford the cost of the airfare. Neither YES or the local promoters will be paying the artist airfare or accommodation while on tour. Neither YES or the local promoters can guarantee the success of a tour. All your questions or submissions to info@yesrec.com QUESTIONS My band is unknown in Asia. Can I submit and possibly tour there anyway? Definitely! As long as we feel your music has a good potential, we will get you on tour there. We will find venues that are usually arranging gigs in the same style of music where you will certainly play with local artists. Local promoters know their scene and they want your show to be a success so they will know what to do. You can rely on their promotion skills and whom to hire to get people that night in front of you. How much should I expect per show? Can I fix the fee I wanna earn per show? It's very hard to tell. For sure, you should not do this tour for the sake of money, that's our advice! Some promoters might pay a firm fee while some might offer a % on ticket sales. Also we might offer you some shows where there's nothing to gain. You can't fix your own performance fee unless you've got a knowledgeable fanbase. Who's paying my airfare? You! And you should work out first how much is going to cost you and make sure that you've got that funds available before asking us to book for you. Please note that we know Asia and Australia a lot and we can definitely make you save some money in booking your airfare. We charge a small fee for this service however we might save you hundreds. Who's paying my accommodation? It would depend on the place where you are playing. We try our best to get your accommodation and catering covered however until we confirm that it is covered, you are responsible for all costs. We can also book accommodation for you and for a small fee. Note that accommodation and food in Asia are most likely to be cheaper than in the rest of the world. Can YES assist me financially? We're assisting artists offering a tour swap only. For tour swap, visit this link SWAP Do I have to bring my own instruments? You should bring guitar, bass and small accessories such as effect pedals, snare and cymbals if you want. Each venue will provide a proper backline, PA system as well as a sound engineer. We will let you know in due time and before the tour, the equipment that will be made available to you in all the venues. I want to tour in Japan however I don't speak Japanese. Can you help me out? In most cases, you will be guided and driven by locals. No charge. In the case, there's no one to help, we will assist you as much as possible to make your trip an easy one. Most transfers from hotels, venues, airports are taken in charge by the local promoter. Who's planning the tour schedule? You let us know your availabilities and whether you want some days off somewhere or one show per day. We book that tour according to this info and depending on the availabilities of the venues, it might be a total match of what you were asking us OR something slightly different. At the end of the day, it's your tour and we're trying to respect all your wishes including the tour itinerary. Why shall I pay a deposit per show when it says NO PAY TO PLAY? The reason is simple. Let's think one minute that you are on the list of the bands we've selected to work with however you have to wait your turn. You are serious about this tour and 100% ready to go. Ahead of you a couple of bands are also waiting and most of them don't really care about touring. We take time to book each tour for them to find out pretty much too late that actually those bands were not financially ready to afford such a trip. During this time, you have been waiting for nothing and we have worked for nothing. Clearly, we hate wasting time and we especially don't want to get in troubles with the local promoters we are working with. By making the artist pay a deposit, we make sure that they take the tour seriously and understand that there is money on the line. Some promoters in Australia, Japan, Taiwan ... are keen to make the artist pay upfront for their services and believe me when I say ...that's not cheap and you aren't even sure that the work is done properly. With YES, the money paid upfront is a deposit. That deposit gets back to you as soon as you start playing the shows scheduled in the tour. Also we are making sure that promo for your show has been made and that the venue is appropriate to your style of music. You aren't going to play Rock in a Jazz Club, right?
